El disco tienes que formatearlo en FAT32, puedes hacerlo desde el MAC con la utilidad de discos (lee la ayuda).

Windows directamente no te dejara formatear en FAT32 un disco mayor de 32 Gigas y te obligara a NTFS (por una limitación de Microsoft, no de FAT32) así que necesitaras un programa de terceros para hacerlo.
