Por fín conseguí entrar!!! Lo hice arrancando con comando+S y escribiendo, (por si le es útil a alguien más):
mount -u /
chown root:admin /
chmod 1775 /
reboot
...y el sistema arrancó, hurra!

No sé qué diferencia de órdenes implica esta secuencia de comandos frente al arranque con fsck, alguien lo sabe y quiere aclarármelo?
