Hola:

Si que se puede hacer una imagen de DVD con iDVD. En concreto: haces todas las operaciones que tengas que hacer: configurar menús, etc y al ir a grabar utilizas la opción "Archivo>Guardar imagen de disco...". Esto crea una fichero en formato .dmg que es la imagen del DVD.
