Hola, intenta hacer lo siguiente:

A la hora de encender mantiene apretada la tecla X (ese comando forza al SO para iniciar desde el disco)
Si no funciona ese comando mantiene apretada la tecla Alt Option (Te abrirá una pantalla donde aparecerán todas las unidades de disco y ópticas) Si el disco es reconocido por el SO aparecerá para seleccionarlo y arrancar el SO.
