El cable que has visto es la antena para conectarle una tarjeta Airport y no puede hacer en ningún caso que se apague el equipo.

Puedes mirar de sacar la ampliación de memoria (en el caso de que tengas, claro está). La podrás encontrar sacando la chapa de metal donde reposa el cable que has comentado. Solo tienes que quitar los dos tornillos que ves.
