Parece (no recuerdo si me lo comentó Albert), que los discos USB no funcionan tan bien en los mac. Puedes probar la actualización 10.4.8, que soluciona algún que otro problemilla del USB (modems de USB y hubs de otros fabricantes) e igual mejora... Porque, ¿lo tienes conectado directo al mac, o a través de hub? (en cuyo caso prueba a conectarlo directamente al mac).
