Hola tengo un airport extreme de 5ª generación , es decir el últimos y actualizado, pues bien se conecto un pen drive al USB del airport  lo reconoce perfectamente, si conecto un HD de hace uno 5 años también lo reconoce correctamente, pero por el contrario cuando conecto un HD que tiene unos dos años, uno que tiene conexión FireWire y USB un LaCie little Disk Media de 320 Gb no lo reconoce.

  Pero si lo conecto directamente al iMac sea por USB a Firewire lo reconoce perfectamnete

¿Que puede pasar?

la última parte no la he entendido: aunque supongo que conectas el disco LaCie por USB o por Firewire... y no por un adaptador del uno al otro, verdad ?

Lo quiero decir que le iMac si reconoce el LaCie lo conectes por USB o firewire, pero por el contrario el Airport Extreme no lo reconoce al conectarlo por USB

MOLINA, es lo correcto: el SMART solo es posible para discos internos !!
