Cuanta RAM aguanta una Ibook?

Hola gente del foro, tengo ganas de ampliarle la RAM a mi querida Ibook G4 y quiero saber hasta cuanto es capáz de administrar, actualmente tengo 512MB (256 soldados al logic y 256 en la otra ranura), es posible ponerle 1GB en la ranura? y que quede con 1.26GB??? es una Ibook G4 de 12".
