No se si ya habréis comentado esto por algún sitio antes, pero por si las moscas, finalmente he solucionado el problema de mi cuenta Yahoo en mail. Os lo dejo por si alguien tampoco podía configurar la cuenta Yahoo en Mail:

- Ir a la cuenta  email de Yahoo vía web.
- En la parte superior derecha  de la pantalla seleccionamos  Opciones  –> Opciones de Correo
-A la izquierda tenemos Acceso POP y reenvío. Marcamos Permitir  el acceso POP de tu  Correo Yahoo!.
-Guardar cambios.

Una vez este pequeño cambio en nuestra cuenta vía WEB, vamos a Mail a crear una nueva cuenta, eso como siempre.

Veréis que por defecto sale plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com he eliminado plus y he cambiado .com por .es
Al igual que en smtp que aparecía plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Por lo que lo he dejado ;

pop.mail.yahoo.es

smtp.mail.yahoo.es

Y por arte de magia ha funcionado!! como si nada ... después de un año y pico he dado con la solución !!
