Creo que yo soy el único que ha usado la técnica de romper el condensador y soldar el nuevo a las patillas del viejo y no recuerdo haber publicado nada en Internet al respecto.

Los tutoriales que verás por ahí siempre acaban usando un soldador de muchos vatios (> 150 W) para que no se enfríe por la disipación que hace la superficie de masa del circuito impreso.

Te recomiendo que lo hagas con cualquier condensador que esté hinchado por arriba, aunque sea muy ligeramente
